Current Status and Pain Points
At present, low efficiency is widespread in the rework areas of automotive final assembly workshops. For example, the management of production tempo, balance, rework man-hours and capacity, the locating and tracking of rework vehicles and special vehicles, as well as the tracing of vehicle rework routes, are mostly managed manually through searching, statistics and reliance on historical experience. Lacking the support of automated system tools and actual data, the improvement of production management faces considerable difficulties.
Traditional positioning management methods such as RFID are not suitable as the preferred solution for the positioning of intelligent tightening guns, due to strong metal interference and low positioning accuracy in the final assembly workshop.

Solution
—Through the UWB high-precision positioning system, sub-meter-level positioning of rework vehicles is realized. A realistic and accurate 2.5D map is created via virtual visualization, and the exact positions of vehicles can be viewed in real time on the workshop’s digital large screen, enabling clear visualization and fast vehicle location.
—Using high-precision electronic fences, the system automatically and in real time collects vehicle information and quantity in areas such as electrical rework, sheet metal rework, paint rework, rain test rework, and temporary parking zones. It also tracks in real time each vehicle’s position, zone information, and dwell time, enabling real-time perception of vehicle status. Through historical track playback, the system supports traceability of issues in the vehicle rework process and optimization of logistics.
—By integrating with the MOP system, information such as vehicle rework status, inventory status, subsequent process flow, and vehicle quantity is realized, facilitating visual management of rework status, automatic vehicle inventory, rework efficiency analysis, and rework exception management.
Within the coverage of on-site base stations, users can realize the location management of personnel and materials through personnel positioning badges, safety helmet tags and material tags. All positioning objects share one set of positioning system and GIS map.
