High-Precision Indoor and Outdoor Integrated Positioning Solution for Open-Pit Mines

Requirement Analysis

Challenges in Safety Management
Collision accidents: Mechanical collisions are prone to occur during cross operations between personnel and vehicles, as well as between vehicles.
Unauthorized vehicle driving: Unlicensed driving, unauthorized driving, and speeding.
Unauthorized entry into hazardous areas: Staff may mistakenly enter dangerous areas such as hazardous material warehouses and oil and gas storage tank areas, resulting in safety accidents.
Low Operational Efficiency
Personnel and vehicle positioning: Unable to obtain the location distribution of personnel and vehicles for more reasonable task assignment to improve mining efficiency.
Vehicle trajectory restoration: Unable to review vehicle routes for reasonable optimization of driving routes and improved transportation efficiency.
Difficulties in Operation Management
Excessive number of personnel and vehicles: Difficult to accurately track and count the number of operating vehicles and personnel, making real-time monitoring of over-limit issues impossible.
Personnel tardiness and absenteeism: Tardiness and absenteeism occur during work, disrupting the normal operation of production processes.

Introduction to the Indoor & Outdoor Integrated Positioning System

System Overview

1.Scene Classification: The indoor-outdoor integrated positioning system covers both outdoor and indoor scenarios, adopting positioning technologies including satellite positioning, UWB positioning and Bluetooth positioning.

2.Implemented Functions: The system can realize functions such as personnel and vehicle positioning, personnel-vehicle collision avoidance, personnel-vehicle scheduling, population statistics, personnel attendance, electronic fencing, and personnel on-duty status monitoring.

3.Problem Solving: It greatly reduces the incidence of collision accidents during daily operations of enterprises; optimizes the assignment and arrangement of work tasks for personnel and vehicles; strengthens the management and control of key areas such as hazardous areas and confidential areas; monitors the real-time presence of personnel and vehicles in the mining area; and supervises the real-time on-duty status of personnel.

System Advantages
1.Centimeter-level ranging accuracy: Adopting UWB technology, it achieves high-precision positioning of 10 cm, effectively preventing collision accidents.

2.Millisecond-level alarm delay: The vehicle anti-collision equipment adopts on-board ranging calculation and alarm output. Compared with calculating in the server background and then sending alarm signals to the front end, the alarm trigger delay is greatly reduced.

3.High-precision integrated positioning: For indoor and outdoor integrated positioning scenarios, an independently developed trajectory continuity algorithm is applied, which restricts jitter and drift during indoor-outdoor positioning handover to a certain extent.

4.Rich interfaces for easy integration: The equipment is equipped with digital input/output and RS485 interfaces and provides embedded development tools, facilitating linkage and integration of functions in different business scenarios.

Indoor and Outdoor Equipment Installation and Deployment
Outdoor Equipment Deployment
Staff wear positioning tags in trouser pockets, on chests or other positions. Transport vehicles are equipped with vehicle-mounted positioning tags on the roof or inside the vehicle. Vehicle positioning tags support two installation methods: screw mounting and magnetic mounting, and two power supply modes: battery power supply and vehicle power supply.
Indoor Equipment Deployment
One-dimensional or two-dimensional beacon deployment is selected according to the complexity of the indoor environment.
Narrow areas (such as corridors): adopt one-dimensional deployment
Open areas (such as spacious spaces): adopt two-dimensional deployment
